Job overview

The Electrical Engineer works onsite in Saint Paul, MN, as part of EAPC’s multidisciplinary team. The posted wage range is $105,000–$125,000 per year. EAPC’s architects, engineers, interior designers, construction managers, and other professionals collaborate on building designs and structures for optimum performance. The engineer develops electrical designs for new and existing buildings and coordinates them with other disciplines. The role supports project delivery through calculations, specifications, feasibility work, construction administration, and guidance for junior staff and BIM modelers.

What you'll do

  • Design, detail, and calculate electrical systems for new buildings and renovations
  • coordinate designs with other disciplines
  • write and edit specifications
  • conduct investigations and feasibility studies and prepare reports and cost estimates
  • mentor and train EIT-level staff
  • direct BIM modelers
  • review shop drawings and respond to contractor questions and RFIs
  • conduct site visits
  • assist with budgets, schedules, project scopes, proposals, contracts, and engineering standards.
