What you'll do

• Scribe using retina-specific ophthalmology terminology
• prepare patients and rooms for treatments and minor procedures
• collect medical and ophthalmic histories
• measure and record visual acuity, perform preliminary refraction, and check intraocular pressure and pupillary response after training
• perform basic visual field testing and OCT
• record vital signs as required
• complete computerized order entry after certification under physician direction
• instill eye drops as directed
• assist with dressings and patient transfers
• maintain room supplies and records
• travel to other locations as assigned.
