The Veterinary Kennel Technician role is onsite in Riverview, FL, with pay of $16 per hour. Big Bend Animal Hospital is a small-animal practice providing preventive care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, boarding, and grooming. The technician cares for hospitalized and boarding animals through feeding, medicating, cleaning, bathing, and walking. The role also supports clinical work by assisting with post-operative patients, animal restraint and exams, supply restocking, medication records, and sterilization of surgical instruments.

What you'll do

• Care for, feed, medicate, and clean hospitalized and boarding animals
• perform laundry, bathing, and dog walking
• restock hospital supplies
• help with post-operative patients
• assist doctors and assistants with animal restraint and exams
• record medications, special foods, appetite, behavior, and issues
• learn to clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
