Early Head Start Teacher

The Early Head Start Teacher role is onsite in Lampasas, TX, with center hours typically Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM; individual schedules are set by the Center Director and may vary. Compensation is $14.10–$20.33 per hour. The teacher supports the Early Head Start program at Hill Country Community Action Association. The teacher manages a classroom and implements the program’s service plan, creating a safe, supportive, developmentally appropriate environment that promotes children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development and supports family involvement.

What you'll do

• Maintain a safe, developmentally appropriate classroom and playground
• observe and guide children
• develop individual goals and lesson plans
• assess progress and support transitions
• encourage parental involvement
• follow childcare licensing and Head Start standards
• maintain child records
• coordinate with agencies and families
• participate in staff meetings and training
• complete home visits or parent conferences as assigned.
