The Commercial Cleaning Area Manager role is onsite across client sites in Rockford, IL and the assigned region. The base salary range is $72,000–$120,000 per year. The role supports CBRE Government Services’ custodial operations across multiple client locations. The manager leads site supervisors and cleaning teams, sets regional operating standards, oversees staffing and budgets, and serves as the senior client contact. Through field audits, coaching, and issue resolution, the role helps maintain consistent service quality, safety, and operational performance across the region.

What you'll do

• Supervise site supervisors, leads, and cleaning staff, including coaching, performance management, hiring, and onboarding
• establish staffing models, schedules, and task calendars
• manage regional budget, labor planning, payroll, purchase orders, and variance review
• maintain staffing coverage
• lead client meetings and address escalations
• conduct quality audits and monitor KPIs and SLAs
• standardize processes and training
• resolve complaints and operational issues
• ensure safety and compliance
• manage equipment, supplies, inventory, and vendors
• support site startups, transitions, and scope changes.
