Job overview

The Water Pretreatment Equipment Technician is an onsite field role based in Wixom, MI, serving customer sites throughout Southeast Michigan. Pay is $32–$40 per hour. HOH Water Technology provides water treatment services and equipment support to commercial and industrial customers. The technician installs, starts up, commissions, services, troubleshoots, repairs, and optimizes water treatment systems. The role manages service calls and preventive maintenance, documents findings and recommendations, communicates with customers and internal teams, and supports junior technicians.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and repair commercial and industrial water treatment systems
• install, start up, commission, validate, rebuild, and optimize pretreatment equipment
• service RO, DI, softeners, filters, UV, chemical feed, and related systems
• diagnose PLC, VFD, pump, valve, sensor, control, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues
• perform water-quality testing and preventive maintenance
• interpret schematics and technical documents
• complete service reports
• maintain tools and field equipment
• communicate with customers and internal teams
• and mentor junior technicians.

Why this role

Requires at least five years of hands-on commercial or industrial water treatment equipment experience. Overnight travel may be required, and the role participates in an on-call rotation approximately once every 6–8 weeks.
