Water Estimator

Job overview

The Water Estimator is an onsite, full-time position in Aurora, CO, with a stated salary of $85,000–$130,000 per year. The estimator develops project estimates and bid materials by reviewing plans, preparing takeoffs, evaluating vendor pricing, and identifying scope gaps and risks. The work supports coordinated project planning and turnover from estimating to operations, with safety considered throughout planning.

What you'll do

• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and project documents
• prepare material, labor, and equipment takeoffs
• develop cost estimates, bid tabulations, and proposals
• solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• identify scope gaps, risks, clarifications, and value-engineering opportunities
• conduct site visits and job walks as needed
• coordinate with project managers, engineers, field personnel, and preconstruction teams
• maintain estimate files and cost databases
• support project turnover to operations
• promote safety in project planning.
