The paraprofessional carries out assigned tasks under a special education teacher’s direction and supports students’ classroom participation, mobility, self-help, and functional activities. The role observes and communicates student data while helping maintain student safety and confidentiality.

What you'll do

• Implement assigned tasks in conjunction with students’ Individual Education Plans under the special education teacher’s direction
• supervise students and assist with academic, social, motor, and functional classroom activities
• observe, document, and communicate student data
• assist with mobility, self-help skills, toileting, and adaptive equipment
• monitor halls and common areas
• support transportation needs and accompany students to specialists
• maintain confidentiality and enforce school rules.
