Security Engineering Manager

The Security Engineering Manager role is onsite in Englewood, CO, with compensation of $180,000–$200,000 per year. Redwood Trust is a specialty finance company focused on mortgage-related assets and mortgage banking activities. This working leadership role builds and operates cybersecurity controls that protect the company’s technology and digital assets. The manager leads engineers while remaining involved in architecture, tooling, vulnerability remediation, detection, and incident response, helping mature the security program and communicate technical risk to business leaders.

What you'll do

• Lead, hire, and develop security engineers
• design and operate security controls across identity, endpoint, network, cloud, email, and data
• own IAM architecture and access processes
• manage vulnerability scanning, testing, patching, and remediation
• mature detection and incident response
• maintain NIST-aligned policies
• embed security in delivery pipelines and infrastructure as code
• support SOX IT controls
• prepare executive security reporting
• manage security vendors, tools, renewals, and budget
• participate in after-hours incident-response on-call rotation.
