Daycare Cook

The Daycare Cook role is onsite at Foundations Early Learning Center in Sherrills Ford, NC. Pay is $16.50–$19 per hour. Foundations provides early learning programs for children from six weeks to 12 years and focuses on enriching children's lives through early learning experiences. The cook prepares and distributes meals and snacks for children and staff, follows menus and applicable nutrition and health requirements, and maintains safe food preparation and kitchen practices to support the center's daily program.

What you'll do

• Prepare and distribute meals and snacks according to menus and guidelines
• follow USDA, licensing, and health department requirements
• use safe food preparation and sanitation methods
• maintain a safe kitchen and pantry
• track food and supply inventory
• work in classrooms to cover breaks as needed.

Why this role

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Cooking or large-group food-preparation experience is preferred; ServSafe certification is preferred. The schedule is Monday–Friday.
