The role supports Star Fleet Trucking, Incorporated and coordinates applicant background checks with its compliance department to meet FMCSA requirements. This position recruits and screens candidates for job openings while also supporting compliance and leasing processes. It helps the organization source qualified applicants and maintain accurate employment and contractor documentation.

What you'll do

• Consult with managers and supervisors about staffing needs and job qualifications
• write or edit job descriptions
• develop recruitment programs and candidate networks
• contact, review, interview, screen, and refer applicants
• place job advertisements and work with external recruiters
• use online recruiting sources and social media
• coordinate applicant communications and background checks in accordance with FMCSA requirements
• maintain applications
• perform employment verifications for independent contractors
• create documents for the leasing process
• review owner-operator leases and independent contractor agreements
• assist the Compliance Department with equipment changes and other crossover duties. Occasional trade show travel is required.
