The teacher supports students’ educational and behavioral goals, particularly those with Individualized Education Programs. The role implements and develops IEPs, delivers instruction and assessments, tracks progress, and collaborates with families and school professionals to support student learning and compliance.
What you'll do
- Implement and write IEPs
- participate in MTSS
- maintain student records and complete required paperwork and progress reports
- teach students individually, in small groups, and in whole-class sessions
- administer transition and other assessments
- prepare lessons aligned with IEP goals
- schedule and participate in IEP meetings
- collaborate with families, teachers, psychologists, administrators, and related services
- provide disability-related resources to classroom teachers
- attend professional development.
