Part-Time Recovery Assistant — Overnight

The Part-Time Recovery Assistant role is onsite in Butler, PA, in the inpatient department. Pay is $18 per hour. The Ellen O’Brien Gaiser Addiction Center provides inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment and describes its approach as compassionate, evidence-based, holistic, and trauma-informed. The assistant supports clients and the inpatient program through monitoring, daily living assistance, intake support, facility safety, and routine operational tasks. This entry-level role includes training and orientation to the Center’s daily operations.

What you'll do

• Review shift-change reports
• maintain client observation logs
• complete assigned daily tasks
• transport clients in Center vehicles
• prepare food
• log belongings and process client check-in
• monitor clients at the facility and off premises
• administer testing as directed by a nurse or counselor
• monitor and log medication use under agency policy
• check client rooms and redirect clients as needed
• assist with daily living activities and cleaning
• monitor safety systems and emergency procedures
• maintain vans and mileage logs.

Why this role

Overnight shifts are 11:00 PM–7:00 AM on Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday; must be open to covering other shifts if needed. A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and high school diploma are required. Some duties are performed as needed, including fire drills and life-skills groups.
