What you'll do

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
• perform quantity takeoffs and estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• solicit, level, and manage bids
• develop pricing strategies and proposals with ownership
• identify cost-saving and value-engineering options
• assist with budgeting, preconstruction, and project handoff
• maintain vendor and client relationships
• support cost tracking and change-order pricing
• maintain estimate and historical cost records
• occasionally visit job sites.
