The Home Health Aide / Hospice Aide role is an onsite, part-time position in Arcade, NY. Pay is $19.50–$21 per hour. Home Care and Hospice provides aide services under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse. The aide assists patients with personal care, mobility, meals, household tasks, and other activities directed by the supervising nurse. These services help patients follow care recommendations and receive support in their home setting.

What you'll do

• Assist with oral care, grooming, bathing, transfers, walking, toileting, eating, and dressing
• prepare meals according to instructions and modified diets
• perform assigned incidental housekeeping and laundry
• make beds
• shop or run errands when needed
• take temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when advised
• keep simple records
• accompany patients to medical care
• assist with self-administered medications as instructed
• provide routine Foley catheter care, colostomy assistance, simple non-sterile dressing changes, prescribed exercises, and other listed care under appropriate guidance.

Why this role
