The Sports Activity Specialist, Queens role is onsite in Hollis, NY, with part-time hours Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pay is $20–$25 per hour. New York Edge provides after-school and summer programs serving New York City public school students. This role leads safe, age-appropriate sports and physical activity instruction for youth. The specialist prepares and adapts activities, teaches skills and safety procedures, encourages participation, and supports students’ skill and character development.

What you'll do

• Lead youth sports and physical activity programming
• prepare age-appropriate lesson plans with clear learning goals
• teach activity principles, techniques, and safety procedures
• maintain safety and order
• communicate with program leadership about programs and events
• prepare facilities
• evaluate activities and adapt instruction to student needs.
