Heavy Equipment Operator

Job overview

The Heavy Equipment Operator role is onsite in Massillon, OH, at $26–$32 per hour. The operator works with a precast concrete duct bank team in an outdoor production yard, moving concrete products and materials. The role supports safe and efficient production, storage, and shipping by operating forklifts and other equipment, handling oversized loads, and coordinating with production and yard personnel. Equipment inspections, maintenance checks, and adherence to safety procedures help maintain reliable yard operations.

What you'll do

• Operate forklifts of varying sizes, including large-capacity industrial and rough-terrain forklifts
• transport precast concrete duct banks, conduit sections, and related materials
• load and unload trucks, trailers, and production materials
• stage products for shipping, storage, and production
• inspect equipment daily and perform routine maintenance checks
• report mechanical issues
• follow OSHA, company, and site safety procedures
• coordinate with production, shipping, and yard personnel
• maintain organized storage and clean work areas
• assist with rigging, lifting, and securing oversized products
• read load sheets, shipping documents, and hand signals
• operate loaders, skid steers, or cranes when qualified.
