Early Childhood Teaching Assistant

The Early Childhood Teaching Assistant role is onsite in Alamo, TN, at Amelia's Learning Center. Pay is $10–$12 per hour. The center provides a safe, supportive environment focused on early childhood development through structured play, hands-on learning, and personalized care. The assistant supports the lead teacher and classroom team in maintaining a safe, welcoming setting where children can participate in daily routines and learning activities and have their needs attended to.

What you'll do

• Assist the lead teacher with classroom activities and routines
• clean and sanitize eating surfaces after meals
• assist with diaper changes and hygiene procedures
• supervise an assigned classroom zone
• monitor children during learning activities and indoor and outdoor play
• support transitions between meals, activities, diaper changes, and rest
• keep the classroom clean and organized
• and communicate children's needs and concerns to the lead teacher.

Why this role
