Accounts Payable Manager

The Accounts Payable Manager role is hybrid in Tomball, TX, with four onsite days and one remote workday per week; the schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Compensation is $95,000–$115,000 per year. Vego Garden makes raised garden beds and promotes accessible, sustainable gardening and community development. The manager leads a small AP team and oversees procure-to-pay operations as the business grows. The role strengthens controls, workflows, payment accuracy, and coordination with Accounting, Purchasing, Operations, Warehouse, and Logistics.

What you'll do

• Manage, coach, and review a two-person AP team
• assign incoming tickets
• handle complex or disputed classification items and invoice exceptions
• oversee vendor onboarding and banking-change verification
• enforce purchase-order practices and invoice approval escalation
• coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Operations, freight vendors, and 3PL providers
• prepare weekly payment batches
• manage payment terms and overseas vendor payment methods
• review card and reimbursement transactions
• reconcile AP aging to the general ledger
• prepare accrued-liability schedules.
