Per Diem Dental Assistant

The Per Diem Dental Assistant role is onsite in Gloucester, MA. Compensation is $29 per hour. The position supports the Gloucester Family Health Center dental clinic at North Shore Community Health, whose mission is to provide exceptional care to all and build healthy communities. Working under dental providers’ direction, the assistant prepares patients and treatment areas, supports clinical procedures, and maintains accurate records and equipment. This work helps the dental team deliver safe, organized care to community patients.

What you'll do

• Prepare treatment rooms and patients
• obtain and record vital signs
• sterilize and position instruments
• assist providers during procedures
• follow infection-control and OSHA requirements
• expose radiographs and prepare study casts
• maintain clean, stocked clinical areas and equipment
• provide postoperative instructions as directed
• document care and schedule appointments.
