Youth Tennis Coach — Oakland/Piedmont — Winter/Spring 2027

The Youth Tennis Coach role is onsite at partner school locations in Oakland, Piedmont, and/or the greater East Bay area. Pay is $25–$35 per hour. ANTS Sports provides training, equipment, and support for its after-school programs. The coach leads or assists weekly tennis practices for children ages 5–11, teaching tennis fundamentals through safe, engaging lessons. The role helps students develop sportsmanship, wellness, and confidence while supporting a consistent community program throughout the January–May 2027 season.

What you'll do

• Lead a fun and safe weekly tennis practice for children ages 5–11
• teach tennis fundamentals through game-filled lesson plans
• arrive on time for the assigned program day throughout the season
• attend in-person orientation training
• interact positively with parents, teachers, and school staff
• set up and clean up the program
• transport tennis equipment to and from class.

Why this role

No previous coaching experience is required; training is provided. Player or coaching experience of at least two years is valuable but optional. Other sports coaching may be available as an opportunity. Season runs January–May 2027, with classes generally between 3 and 6 p.m. on one afternoon each week.
