HVAC Purchasing Assistant

Job overview

The HVAC Purchasing Assistant role is in-office in Upper Marlboro, MD. Pay is $60,000–$75,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses. JCM Associates is a commercial HVAC and plumbing contractor supporting active construction projects. Working with the Purchasing Manager, the assistant sources materials and processes orders to support field operations. The role helps ensure timely fulfillment, accurate purchasing records, and effective supplier relationships, with an opportunity to develop toward managing a commercial purchasing department.

What you'll do

• Learn common plumbing and mechanical materials
• build supplier and vendor relationships
• receive and process foreman orders daily
• process bulk orders and review them for accuracy and completeness
• maintain purchasing documentation in the accounting system
• provide administrative and office support to other departments when needed.
