Certified Medical Assistant

Job overview

The Certified Medical Assistant role is onsite in Marengo, IN, with weekly travel between Paoli and English locations. Pay is $15–$18 per hour. The assistant works with Southern Indiana Community Healthcare providers and patients. The role supports patient visits and clinic operations by documenting vital signs and complaints, preparing rooms, coordinating messages and records, and assisting with scheduling and laboratory tasks. This work helps providers deliver organized, responsive patient care.

What you'll do

• Greet, instruct, and direct patients
• document vital signs and chief complaints
• prepare for patient visits and escort patients to exam rooms
• stock rooms and supplies
• process patient messages and obtain records
• communicate lab and imaging results
• request refills with provider permission
• assist with schedules, forms, and patient appointments
• as assigned, assist providers with visit documentation, order supplies, draw labs, perform in-house testing, and prepare specimens.
