Senior Reliability Engineer

The Senior Reliability Engineer is an onsite position based in Laurel, MD. Compensation is not specified, and the role supports the Reliability and Sustainment Engineering Team within the Force Projection Sector at APL. This role exists to provide subject matter expertise on reliability and resilience for strategic deterrent systems. The engineer will develop reliability methodologies and analyses to inform program decisions, ensuring that strategic weapon systems meet mission needs throughout their lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Provide SME and thought leadership on reliability and resilience topics.
• Participate in technical working groups focusing on requirements development, risk assessments, and test planning.
• Develop reliability methodologies for strategic deterrence weapon systems.
• Lead research and analysis on current and future weapon system capabilities.
• Deliver formal presentations and reports to sponsors.
