What you'll do

• Perform routine technical procedures
• assist with phlebotomy as needed
• assess specimen adequacy and request replacement specimens when necessary
• prioritize work and perform STAT procedures
• recheck questionable results
• notify a supervisor when workload requires additional personnel
• supervise section work and trainees when acting as technologist in charge
• support inspection requirements and professional communication with patients, staff, and visitors.

Why this role

Requires six months of technical experience and a current Florida technologist license in Microbiology, Blood Bank, or all areas. Three or more years of technical experience and Blood Bank experience are preferred.
