Mental Health Therapist and Counselor

The Mental Health Therapist and Counselor role is hybrid, with services offered in the home, office, community, or by teletherapy in the Salt Lake County and Davis County/Weber County areas of Utah. Starting pay is $70,000 per year for master’s-level clinicians and $88,000 per year for fully licensed clinicians. Empowerment Counseling Services provides counseling to adults, families, and youth. The role exists to assess client needs, provide counseling and evidence-based treatment, and coordinate care with the clinical team. Ongoing evaluation and documentation help ensure services remain aligned with each client’s individualized plan.

What you'll do

• Provide mental health assessments, treatment planning, and counseling
• document client information and treatment progress
• evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify service plans as needed
• coordinate care with the clinical team
• participate in case staffing and conferences
• perform intake assessments
• provide individual, couples, family, and child therapy
• use evidence-based individual and group treatment methods
• adhere to facility and licensing standards.
