What you'll do

• Collect urine, blood, and other specimens
• identify patients and follow collection procedures
• enter outpatient orders and patient data into the Laboratory Information System
• process and prepare specimens for testing
• facilitate drug screens according to protocol
• manage phlebotomy supplies
• package and ship special cases
• centrifuge and prepare samples for transport
• follow universal precautions, OSHA standards, and HIPAA guidelines
• maintain clean patient and work areas.
