The Primary Care Physician (PCP) role is onsite in Bakersfield, CA, on a full-time day shift. Compensation is $250,000–$280,000 per year. The physician serves participants in a PACE program supporting frail adults age 55 and older who meet nursing-home level of care while continuing to live at home. The physician provides comprehensive primary care and coordinates with an interdisciplinary team to support participants' medical needs and ongoing care. The role also supervises the site nurse practitioner and/or physician assistant and contributes to program quality activities.

What you'll do

• Provide primary medical care, including examinations, ordering and interpreting labs and diagnostics, functional and mental status evaluations, acute and chronic illness management, medication adjustment, and specialist referrals. Participate in participant assessments and daily morning updates
• supervise the site nurse practitioner and/or physician assistant
• provide inpatient attending coverage when participants are hospitalized or admitted to a nursing facility
• and participate in QAPI activities and organizational committees.
