What you'll do
- Performs Nuclear Medicine exams in a timely manner, documents required information, and communicates pertinent information to physicians and staff.
- Coordinates and assists with patient care.
- Evaluates patient condition to adequately perform radiology exams.
- Explains procedures to patients.
- Provides comprehensive direct patient care and assures a safe environment.
- Consults with other staff as necessary.
- Assures necessary equipment and supplies are available and safely utilized.
- Performs Point of Care procedures and quality control.
- Associate Degree.
- Certified as a Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
- Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or Certified in nuclear medicine by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (N).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date).
