Compensation is $0 per year. The Certified Medical Assistant role is onsite in Knox, IN. The CMA supports Proactive MD’s health and wellness center and its patient-focused clinical operations. The role assists providers with selected clinical duties and procedures while supporting administrative operations. By preparing patients and treatment rooms, recording information, and helping manage records and supplies, the CMA contributes to the center’s patient care and daily workflow.

What you'll do

• Assist with provider-ordered treatments under provider or registered nurse supervision
• perform select clinical duties
• interview patients, measure vital signs, and record chart information
• prepare examination rooms
• perform clerical duties including phone answering, records, and filing
• order and stock supplies
• help maintain a clean environment
• may document provider encounters and transcribe orders as indicated.

Why this role

Blood-draw ability required; high school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree and medical assistant certification preferred. Current American Heart Association BLS certification must remain valid for at least 90 days after start date. Pediatric patient experience required; hearing and fit-testing certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
