Job overview

The Technical Consultant, Public Sector role is based onsite at Appian’s headquarters in McLean, VA, with in-person office work expected four to five days per week. Compensation is $75,000–$175,000 per year, with a government clearance differential and possible discretionary bonus. Appian Customer Success partners with clients to deliver outcomes and support adoption of its AI-powered process automation platform. The consultant designs and delivers custom automation solutions across the project lifecycle, connecting enterprise systems and translating business processes into technical implementations. The work supports client transformation through software delivery, collaboration, and user enablement.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions using Appian’s platform
• build integrations and APIs using REST, SOAP, and JDBC
• create relational data models and develop SQL
• work with cross-functional Agile teams
• collaborate with client technical teams and business stakeholders
• train users and support platform adoption.
