The Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver role is onsite in the Kansas City, KS area. Compensation is $1,000–$1,200 per week, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus paid in increments. NIS EXPRESS operates an intermodal account moving containers between the rail yard and customers around the metro. The driver handles local container runs, starting and ending each shift near home. The work supports regional freight movement through no-touch loads, mostly drop-and-hook operations, and some live loading and unloading.

What you'll do

• Pick up containers at the rail ramp and transport loads to customers around the metro
• complete local intermodal runs
• handle mostly drop-and-hook freight with some live loading and unloading
• meet CDL, experience, driving-record, and DOT screening requirements.
