The Maintenance Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Night Shift is an onsite role based in Indianapolis, IN. Compensation is not specified beyond the hourly rate of $44.41 plus a $0.50 shift differential. This role supports the maintenance department at the Conagra Bakery plant. The role exists to drive continuous improvement of mechanical equipment and processes. The SME acts as an extension of management, coaching maintenance employees and leading troubleshooting efforts to ensure production efficiency.

What you'll do

• Coach maintenance employees and involve manager for support.
• Guide BDA, MPS, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Prediction, UPS, Safety incidents and other issues to completion.
• Act as a mechanic-trainer, responsible for coaching mechanics and correcting mechanics.
• Prepare and lead meetings.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager, Production Managers, operators and mechanics with equipment troubleshooting.
• Monitor and teach the continuous improvement systems to mechanics.
• Participate in improvement projects and teams, including 5S, UPS, Kaizen, Breakdown Elimination, Defect Handling, Planning/Scheduling.
