Preschool Lead Teacher

The Preschool Lead Teacher role is onsite in Jenison, MI, with pay of $17–$20 per hour based on experience and qualifications. The position supports The Learning Experience’s preschool classroom and early childhood education program. The teacher leads classroom routines and learning activities, implements the L.E.A.P. Curriculum, and supports children’s academic and social-emotional development. The role also guides assistant teachers and partners with families to create a safe, welcoming learning environment.

What you'll do

• Lead daily preschool classroom activities and routines
• implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• create learning experiences in early literacy, math, science, language, creativity, and social-emotional development
• encourage problem-solving, independence, communication, and collaboration
• use positive guidance and classroom management
• observe and document children’s progress
• guide and collaborate with assistant teachers
• communicate with families
• maintain a safe, organized classroom
• follow Michigan licensing and center requirements.
