Physical Security Project Manager

Job overview

The Physical Security Project Manager role is onsite in Oakland, CA, with project locations across San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Santa Cruz Counties. Compensation is $70–$90 per hour. The role coordinates physical security system installations for clients and internal partners. The project manager oversees installation projects from planning through commissioning and handoff, helping ensure work is safe, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality requirements. The role coordinates subcontractors, technicians, vendors, and clients while managing project risks, documentation, and technical issues.

What you'll do

• Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
• conduct site assessments
• coordinate installation of access control, CCTV, alarms, intercoms, and related low-voltage systems
• manage subcontractors, technicians, and vendors
• oversee procurement and permits
• maintain project documentation, budgets, risk logs, and progress reports
• lead on-site operations
• troubleshoot technical issues
• conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning
• and facilitate handoff to support teams. Travel to job sites is required.
