The Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Step Down Unit, Nights role is onsite at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. The listed pay range is $39.74–$52.99 per hour. The RN assesses patients, develops and updates individualized care plans, delivers and documents clinical care, and communicates with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. The role supports close monitoring and coordinated care for medically complex and post-operative patients, including Medical ICU step-down and ventilator-dependent patients.

What you'll do

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care
• perform initial and ongoing patient assessments
• communicate and document assessments with the interdisciplinary team
• develop, document, and revise individualized plans of care
• follow safety, medication administration, and documentation policies
• complete a clinical research utilization form, at least five nationally approved contact hours per year, mandatory in-services, and health screens
• maintain Basic Life Support certification.
