The Metal Processor is an onsite role based in La Fayette, NY. The pay is $22.00 per hour. This role supports the aerospace alloy manufacturing operations at Superior Metals Manufacturing, a Consolidated Precision Products company. This role is responsible for handling and preparing recycled metal (revert), assisting furnace operations, and performing basic equipment tasks. The processor ensures materials are ready for the melting process while maintaining safety and quality standards in a state-of-the-art facility.

What you'll do

• Inspect, clean, sort, resize, and weigh recycled metals to prepare for the melting process.
• Operate basic equipment such as grinders, analyzers, and cut-off saws.
• Record weights, batch data, and traceability information.
• Organize, stage, label, and prepare materials for furnace charging.
• Assist furnace operators by safely delivering charge materials.
• Safely operate cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
• Follow SOPs, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and support 5S standards.
