Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor role is onsite in West Lafayette, IN, and pays $33.65–$36 per hour. GMH Communities develops and manages living communities, including student living communities with amenities, shared spaces, and apartments. Reporting to the General Manager, the supervisor oversees property maintenance, work orders, appearance, and budgeted work while performing hands-on repairs and upkeep. The role leads the maintenance team, coordinates vendors, and supports resident satisfaction and move-in readiness; a rotating on-call schedule and some weekend availability are required.

What you'll do

• Perform hands-on property maintenance and repairs to units and grounds
• oversee work orders and follow-up
• manage turn and make-ready work and inspect units for move-in readiness
• train and supervise maintenance team members
• negotiate, schedule, and contract with vendors
• conduct property health and safety inspections
• communicate maintenance and curb-appeal issues to the General Manager
• respond to emergencies under company procedures
• hold daily work-order meetings
• establish cleanliness and appearance standards
• inspect contractor and vendor work for quality and scope.
