Part-Time Early Childhood Center Aide

The Part-Time Early Childhood Center Aide role is onsite at one of DREAM’s Bronx, NY campuses, with hours from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., five days a week. The posting lists $18 per hour. DREAM serves youth through charter schools and community sports-based youth development programs, with a focus on academics, social-emotional learning, family and community engagement, and wellness. Reporting to the Site Director, the aide supports teachers and student outcomes by helping implement classroom activities and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment. The role assists students during classroom routines and transitions and shares observations with teachers to support learning and family engagement.

What you'll do

• Support classroom activities and lessons
• help maintain a safe, sanitary, warm, and inclusive environment
• set up, organize, and clean classroom materials
• supervise and assist students during transitions, meals, and naptime
• provide one-on-one assistance as needed
• communicate observations to teachers
• assist with school events
• provide staff coverage as needed
• participate in professional development and coaching
• obtain and maintain CPR and first aid certifications.
