Classroom Assistant

The Classroom Assistant role is onsite in Rio Dell, CA. Pay is $18.91–$20.85 per hour. North Coast Children’s Services provides a classroom program for children, including children with special needs. Working under the Center Teacher, the assistant helps ensure children are supervised and their individual needs are met. The role supports developmentally appropriate activities, daily routines, special-needs programming, and a safe, welcoming classroom environment.

What you'll do

• Work with the Center Teacher and Associate Teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities
• assist with programming for children with special needs
• support self-help skills and daily routines
• use developmentally appropriate guidance techniques
• participate in team meetings and required training
• help evaluate daily program progress
• assist with food preparation and cleanup and classroom setup and cleanup
• respect confidentiality and program policies.
