The Senior Plant Issue Resolution Engineer – Electrical Systems role is onsite in Hayward, CA, with a base salary range of $170,000–$209,000 per year. Zoox is developing an autonomous vehicle fleet and supporting ecosystem for mobility-as-a-service in urban environments. The engineer drives containment and resolution of manufacturing issues affecting vehicle quality and build readiness. By leading root-cause analysis and corrective actions across engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and operations, the role supports production efficiency and fleet reliability.

What you'll do

• Lead triage, containment, and resolution planning for issues found during general assembly and end-of-line testing
• define short-term containment actions such as rework plans, part quarantine, and build-flow protection
• lead cross-functional root-cause analysis and drive Design for Manufacturing improvements
• support permanent corrective actions, prototype builds, production trials, and engineering changes
• maintain metrics and reporting on issue health, closure, recurrence, and prioritization.
