Primary Care Physician

The Primary Care Physician role is onsite in Artesia, NM. Compensation is $135–$145 per hour. Proactive MD’s Direct Primary Care model is designed to give physicians more time and support for patient-centered care. The physician provides comprehensive episodic and preventive care, builds long-term relationships with a dedicated patient panel, and develops individualized treatment plans. The role also supports clinic health and wellness goals through patient education, referrals, and collaboration with medical assistants, patient advocates, and clinical leadership.

What you'll do

• Provide comprehensive episodic and preventive primary care
• build long-term relationships with a dedicated patient population
• conduct physical examinations, health-risk assessments, and medical history reviews
• develop individualized treatment plans with patients
• provide education and preventive health guidance
• coordinate referrals when appropriate
• collaborate with medical assistants, patient advocates, and clinical leadership
• participate in clinic health and wellness goals
• serve as a clinical leader and role model.

Why this role

Weekday schedule: Monday and Wednesday 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.; Friday off; no weekends. Requires board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, an unrestricted New Mexico medical license, 1+ year post-residency clinical experience, and BLS or ACLS certification.
