Job overview

The Cook role is onsite in Elgin, IL, with compensation of $22–$23 per hour. Pearl of Elgin’s Dietary Department prepares and serves meals for residents. The Cook prepares and portions menu items according to recipes and production counts, serves meals on schedule, records food and equipment temperatures, and maintains sanitation. The role also supports and oversees dietary staff when the Dietary Manager is absent.

What you'll do

• Prepare and portion hot and cold menu items according to recipes and production counts
• serve resident meals at scheduled times
• record food and equipment temperatures
• maintain sanitation and a safe work area
• track inventory and report low supplies
• label, wrap, and date unused food
• support and oversee staff in the Dietary Manager’s absence.
