The Licensed Civil Engineer — Steel Storage Tank Design role is onsite in Hemet, CA, with a Monday–Thursday schedule of four 10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM. Annual compensation is $75,000–$140,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is part of Paso Robles Tank’s engineering and CAD team, working with fabrication and production personnel. The engineer performs structural design, analysis, and documentation for welded and bolted steel storage tanks used in municipal and industrial applications. The work supports practical, code-compliant designs and helps resolve technical questions through fabrication.

What you'll do

• Perform structural engineering analysis and design for welded and bolted steel storage tanks
• apply AWWA, API, and NFPA requirements
• prepare calculations, design reports, and supporting documentation
• develop and review technical drawings with CAD designers
• coordinate with fabrication and production teams
• review specifications for contractual and regulatory compliance
• support design revisions and technical problem-solving during fabrication
• maintain engineering records and files.

Why this role

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline and licensed civil engineer required. Eight or more years of experience is preferred for eligibility for higher compensation; familiarity with steel structures, storage tanks, and regulated engineering codes is preferred.
