What you'll do

• Monitor passengers to maintain safety
• assist students entering and exiting the bus
• perform bus safety checks
• know routes and monitor passenger welfare
• check for sleeping children
• assist the driver with safe backing when necessary
• conduct emergency evacuations
• communicate behavior problems and bus-stop conditions to the driver
• liaise with parents as needed
• help maintain bus cleanliness
• occasionally attend field trips and special events to support passenger safety.
