The Senior Field Technician, Environmental Services role is onsite in Carlsbad, NM. Pay is $27–$36 per hour. CEHMM is a nonprofit providing environmental services in southern New Mexico, including natural resource assessment and environmental permitting. The technician independently conducts surveys and sampling, maintains data quality, and contributes to technical summaries and reports. The role also mentors Field Technicians and supports safe, consistent field practices while meeting client needs.

What you'll do

• Conduct natural resource surveys and environmental compliance monitoring
• collect and process water, soil, and biological samples
• maintain accurate field records and data
• contribute information to technical summaries and reports
• operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instruments and equipment
• perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and vehicles
• transport equipment and supplies
• mentor Field Technicians
• collaborate to improve field efficiency
• and follow health and safety procedures.
