What you'll do

• Interpret work orders, drawings, models, and specifications
• plan machining sequences and select materials and tooling
• set up and operate manual machine tools and a Haas CNC vertical mill
• create, edit, and prove out CNC programs
• inspect work using precision measuring instruments
• troubleshoot machining and equipment issues
• perform routine maintenance
• improve methods to reduce setup and cycle time, waste, and quality issues
• maintain production and quality records
• follow safety requirements and keep the work area organized.
