What you'll do

• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient and outpatient records under the HIM Manager’s supervision
• abstract relevant information from medical records
• perform CPT/HCPCS coding and discharge analysis
• collaborate with providers to clarify documentation
• assist with statistical reporting
• participate in coding and documentation quality improvement
• and maintain accurate records for patient care, HIPAA, and reimbursement.
