Responsibilities include preoperative assessment and preparation, assisting during procedures, monitoring recovery, educating patients and support persons, and coordinating with the multidisciplinary care team. The position requires availability for at least four shifts monthly, including at least two weekend and/or holiday shifts, and flexibility to work at both centers.

What you'll do

• Perform preoperative assessments and develop individualized care plans
• verify patient identity, consent, procedure, surgical site, allergies, laboratory results, and documentation
• establish IV access and administer medications and fluids as ordered
• assist physicians and anesthesia providers during procedures
• monitor patients through perioperative and recovery phases
• assess and address pain
• provide discharge instructions and education
• document care in the electronic medical record
• maintain availability for at least four shifts per month, including at least two weekend and/or holiday shifts
• support both San Ramon and Menlo Park centers.
