What you'll do

• Schedule surgical procedures across hospitals and outpatient surgery locations
• obtain and track authorizations, referrals, and insurance approvals
• coordinate medical clearances, laboratory testing, imaging, and consultations
• communicate dates and pre-operative instructions to patients
• coordinate with surgeons and facilities on schedules and block time
• maintain accurate records in electronic medical record and scheduling systems
• address conflicts, changes, and urgent patient needs.
